Well, I’m here to tell you about a few free SEO keyword research tools that you must count on in your SEO strategy.
But Before diving into it, let me ask a question…
How could you possibly do your keyword research?
Essentially, you use a keyword tool that can at least dig profitable keyword ideas, and show you monthly search volume and SEO difficulty.
These are the basic keyword metrics, every blogger or marketer must be looking for in a keyword tool.
Whether it’s free or paid, you always need this data.
Right?
A basic paid keyword research tool can cost you around $15 – $30 a month or even $100 if you are using professional SEO tools like Semrush or Ahref.
Unfortunately, not all of you are capable of managing these high bills; especially the beginners.
But luckily, I’ve found 3 SEO keyword research tools that can find keywords, and show you the average monthly search volume and keyword difficulty for free.
So, let’s get started…
Keyword Suffer
Actually, this SEO keyword research tool comes with a free chrome extension that you can install and use.
I’m fond of this extension. And I’m sure you’ll also love it…
It streamlines SERPs results while surfing the internet and gives you useful keyword data like search volume, correlation chart, CPC, Number of words, and a number of exact keywords available in every article of SERP.
Now you could think of similar keyword research extensions like ‘Keywords Everywhere’ or ‘MOZ bar’.
Well, I used both of these SEO extensions 2-3 years ago. They were available for free and you had all your keyword data right on your SERP in a few clicks.
MOZ bar is irreplaceable. But Keyword suffering can evenly replace Keywords-everywhere (KA).
The plus point about KA is that you can still get the relative keyword ideas on the right-hand side of SERP.
Okay! Let’s talk more about Keyword suffer.
Once you install the chrome extension, your search page will look like this.
From the screenshot, you get to know what keyword metrics this tool reveals.
To get this report, just type in a raw keyword in the search bar and hit enter. Within a few seconds, it will start showing all the keyword data mentioned above.
Keyworddit
You’re probably thinking what the heck a Keyworddit is.
Well, this is a simple yet effective free SEO keyword tool that you can use to explore rich keywords from Reddit.
To explore keyword results, just type in the name of a Sub-Reddit related to your keyword and hit enter.
Within a few seconds, it extracts keywords from the SubReddit and also pulls down monthly search volume.
The monthly search volume of a keyword is nearly equal to the search volume shown by the Google keyword planner tool for a similar keyword.
And the context link next to search volume can be used to find all queries asked in that SUB – Reddit.
However, keyword results are limited but believe me if you pick the right keywords, you’ll find yourself with countable traffic.
Ubersuggest Chrome Extension
As I said before, basic keyword data go hand-in-hand.
Ubersuggest has been my favorite free SEO keyword tool for 2 years since it was first introduced.
But now it is limited to 3 keyword research a day only. And no longer on my favorite SEO list.
The good news is that you can still use Ubersuggest’s chrome extension to unleash some ideas right on SERP.
I like Ubersuggest over Keyword-suffer because it gives you better keyword suggestions that can help find suitable keywords for your SEO writing.
Overall, it helps you discover keyword ideas, monthly search volume, and CPC.
You must give it a try before all features go premium.
Final Thoughts
What’s the best SEO keyword research tool?
The answer really depends on what makes your keyword research even easier.
Either you choose Keyword-suffer or Ubersuggest, you still need the third one to get rich keyword ideas.
You can choose one out of Keyword-suffer and Ubersuggest. Because both the tools are quite similar.
And it makes it much easier to narrow down your choice.
What’s in your mind? Just leave it here.
