These networks allow companies to connect with customers and prospects directly, and build relationships with potential clients.

A social media marketer focuses on developing and executing campaigns that generate leads and increase sales. These campaigns include paid advertising on social networks, email newsletters, and landing pages.

They help set up and manage a campaign. And also decides where to place ads, which keywords to target, and which social media platforms to use.


Social Media Manager VS Social Media Marketer

A social media manager focuses on building brand awareness and expanding a company’s reach, while a social media marketer takes things one step further and aims to generate qualified leads and increase sales. By definition, a social media marketer must know both social media management and digital marketing skills.

  1. Degree in Communications or Business Administration and marketing. 
  2. At least 2 years of experience managing social media accounts for companies
  3. A combination of content creation, copywriting, graphic design, web development, strategy, data collection, and analysis is optional.
  4. A strong understanding of technology skills, verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and creative problem-solving skills.

  2. Social media marketing includes creating social media campaigns and strategies for your business, including budgets and timelines.
  3. Analyze user behavior and collect customer feedback

  5. Make sure that the message you’re sending out through different channels (e.g., Facebook ads, and Twitter posts) is consistent across all departments within your organization.
  6. Conduct research and track the activities of company competitors.

8. Social Media Coordinator ($31,000 – $39,000)

A social media coordinator keeps up with the latest trends and news in the world of digital marketing. This person researches what people want to see on different platforms and posts it on those sites.

They do this by researching keywords, monitoring conversations, and posting content on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tumblr, and other social networks.

Social media coordinators work closely with content developers and writers. They help develop ideas about topics that could interest customers and provide feedback on how to improve content.

The main qualifications for a social media coordinator include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, experience with SEO, knowledge of social networking platforms, and strong communication skills.

  1. Daily administration of social media accounts
  2. Well-articulated approaches for growing engagement with consumers across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and others.
  3. Provides analysts and specialists with an easy way to prepare their own reports
  4. Prepares reports and presentation materials on social media and influencers’ marketing activities. May be asked to prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership, executives, and headquarters staff.
  5. Works as an internal social marketing manager, ensuring that the company has best practices, features, strategies, and tactic knowledge.
  6. Helps with uploading videos for program teams while maintaining relationships with any outside partners


Skills, Requirements, and Qualifications – 

  1. A bachelor’s in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a similar major or field is highly recommended.
  2. 1-3 years’ PR and/or consumer market­ing exprience, inclu­ding social media, influencer marke­ting or marke­ting
  3. Knowing how to use social media strategically, influencer marketi­ng, and public relations practices
