7 Things I have learned from blogging

It helps me create valuable content for you and also helps me keep this blog up and running. (Your support will be appreciated!)

Three years back, I started blogging as a hobby, and it has been my passion ever since then. I have learned many things about myself and this blogging world in three years.

I’m not going to lie; I was scared at first. It was scary because I didn’t know what to expect from all of this. But after some time, I realized how much fun it is to share your thoughts with people interested in reading them.

So here are five things I learned from three years of Blogging:

1. Patience

The first thing I learned from Blogging is patience. When you start, everything seems like such a big deal. And when you get discouraged, you think that maybe you should give up on this whole idea. But guess what? If you stick with it, eventually, you will see results.

It takes time to build a blog, but you won’t want to stop once you do. So, if you’re going to become a successful blogger, you must be patient.

2. Time Management

The second thing I learned from Blogging is time management. It is something I am still working on. I spent hours and hours writing posts, editing photos, and doing other stuff. Nowadays, I aim for 1,000 words every day (at least). That way, I feel more productive and less stressed.

If you want to become a successful blogger, you must manage your time well. Don’t waste too much time on the internet. Make sure that you focus on one task at a time and complete it before moving on to another one.

Also, try to write every day. Even if you only write 500 words, it’s better than nothing.

A few Time Management Tips

– Make a schedule. Set aside specific times to write, edit photos, etc.

-Don’t procrastinate. Do whatever needs to be done right away.

– Make sure you have enough time to rest. Try to take small breaks and relax while working

-Try to keep track of your time. Write down how long you spent on each task. Also, set reminders on your phone to remind you to write.

– Use the Pomodoro Technique – Set a timer for 25 minutes. During those 25 minutes, focus on one task. After 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break, and then continue with the next task. Repeat this process until you finish your tasks.

This technique helps you concentrate on one task at a given time without getting distracted by other activities.

3. Taking Risks

There is a saying, ‘The biggest risk is not taking any risk.’ The truth is, we often fear risks. We worry about losing our jobs, being rejected, failing, etc. But guess what? Taking risks is an vital part of life. If you don’t take risks, you’ll never grow as a person.

When you’re afraid of making mistakes, you’ll never improve, and you’ll always remain stagnant. However, if you’re willing to take risks, you might discover new talents, skills, and abilities.

Blogging is no different. It’s easy to say that you don’t know anything about Blogging. But why not just jump into it? Why not just start with some basic steps?

You may fail, but if you’re willing to learn from your failures, then you’ll see some improvements.

You can’t expect to become a professional blogger overnight. But if you are willing to put in the effort, you’ll surely achieve your goals.

I’m not telling you to go ahead and post random things online, and what I mean is that you shouldn’t be scared to make mistakes. There’s no reason to worry as long as you learn from them.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert. If you’re willing to take the risk, you’re more likely to win.

4. Perfectionism is the enemy of progress

I’ve been blogging for almost three years now. And I still haven’t achieved perfectionism.

Listen, Perfection is overrated, and there’s no such thing as perfect.

Perfectionism can hinder your growth, and it can also cause anxiety and depression. You will never achieve perfection unless you accept that there is room for improvement.

If you are trying to be perfect, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Disadvantages of being perfect

-You may fail to learn anything new because you are too scared to make mistakes.

-You may end up feeling depressed or anxious because you constantly compare yourself to others.

– You never get started.

-Your self-esteem may suffer.

-You may get discouraged when you realize that you aren’t perfect yet.

-You may give up easily.

-You may lose motivation.

5. Writing

I had no content writing background. But Blogging helped me develop essential writing skills and has been improving.

If you’re not good at writing, don’t worry! You can always hire someone good at writing.

Or you can learn by doing some bad writing, and it’s better than nothing.

There are many tools available online that will help you with your writing. For example, Grammarly is one of my favorite tools because it allows me to check my spelling, grammar, and punctuation before publishing an article. It also provides suggestions when I’m typing in Google Docs.

6. Content Marketing

The best thing about Blogging is that it allows you to create valuable content and market it.

Content marketing is another area where bloggers excel. You can use content marketing to promote products, services, brands, and more. The possibilities are endless.

One of the most important aspects of content marketing is creating high-converting content. It means that your content should be helpful, fascinating, informative, and engaging.

It should be easy to read and understand. And it should have a clear call to action.

7. Affiliate Marketing

Blogging creates multiple income streams. One of them is affiliate marketing.

I learned affiliate marketing because of Blogging.

The concept is simple; you can recommend products and services through a unique link (Affiliate Link). These links redirect readers to products and services, respectively.

These sites pay me a commission whenever users buy a product through these links.

For example, you get paid if you wrote a post recommending a particular product, and somebody bought the product using your link.

Conclusion

These are just a few lessons I learned from 3 years of Blogging. In addition, it allows me to share my knowledge worldwide, help other people with Blogging, and make money online.

Blogging gives me a sense of being self-employed and enables me to make money online from home.
